“In times of profound change, the learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”
— Eric Hoffer
I am an Oregon-based storyteller, writer and multi-media investigative journalist. I have a wealth of experience covering a broad range of topics and formats, from local government, political coverage and community news, to high-level business reporting, to geeky deep dives into enabling technologies. But the biggest asset I have is curiosity. It drives me to dig, to question, to study, and to get the bottom of the story.
I am currently freelancing on a range of environmental and energy issues. I also track smart infrastructure, renewable energy technologies and sustainable innovation on my blog, Technigraph Magazine. Previously, I was the environmental reporter for NM Political Report and I covered commercial markets in low Earth orbit, cislunar and deep space at The Enterprise Orbit.
My journalism has appeared in Ensia, NM Political Report, DeSmogBlog, Dig Magazine, Rider Research’s The Online Reporter and Internet TV Reporter, Rethink Research’s Faultline, The Register, Fierce Wireless , Smart Grid News (now defunct), and Pick & Rocket.
